Elden Ring: Demi-Human Queen Margot (Volcano Cave) Boss Fight

Demi-Human Queen Margot is in the lowest tier of bosses in Elden Ring, Field Bosses, and is the end boss of the Volcano Cave dungeon in Mount Gelmir. Like most lesser bosses in the game, this one is optional in the sense that you do not need to defeat it in order to advance the main story.

As you probably know, bosses in Elden Ring are divided into three tiers. From lowest to highest: Field Bosses, Greater Enemy Bosses and finally Demigods and Legends.

Demi-Human Queen Margot is in the lowest tier, Field Bosses, and is the end boss of the Volcano Cave dungeon in Mount Gelmir. Like most lesser bosses in the game, this one is optional in the sense that you do not need to defeat it in order to advance the main story.

This boss is not much different from the previous demi-human queens you have most likely faced in the game. Well, except that this one managed to kill me once by grabbing me and chewing on my head. That is both rude, annoying and cheap at the same time, but she was put to the swordspear shortly after, so no worries. I don’t know if that’s something all demi-human queens can do, but it’s the only time it’s happened to me.

And now for the usual boring details about my character. I play as a mostly Dexterity build. My melee weapon is the Guardian’s Swordspear with Keen affinity and Chilling Mist Ash of War. My shield is the Great Turtle Shell, which I mostly wear for the stamina recovery. I was level 115 when this video was recorded. I think that’s way too high for this boss as she died fairly quickly, but considering that she managed to kill me once by munching on my face anyway, I have no regrets. I’m always looking for the sweet spot where it’s not mind-numbing easy mode, but also not so difficult that I will be stuck on the same boss for hours ;-)
