Elden Ring: Erdtree Burial Watchdog Duo (Minor Erdtree Catacombs) Boss Fight

Erdtree Burial Watchdog Duo is in the lowest tier of bosses in Elden Ring, Field Bosses, and is the end boss of the small Minor Erdtree Catacombs dungeon in the North-Western part of Caelid. Like most lesser bosses in the game, this one is optional in the sense that you do not need to kill it in order to advance the main story.
As you probably know, bosses in Elden Ring are divided into three tiers. From lowest to highest: Field Bosses, Greater Enemy Bosses and finally Demigods and Legends.

First of all, the boss is not really called Duo, I just call it that because there are two of them. Yes, two bosses at the same time. Prepare for headless chicken mode.
One of them attacks with a sword and the other wields a scepter. No matter, they both really really like to whack people over the head with whatever they’re holding, jump on top of people’s heads, and spew fire all over the place, so it’s really messy.
I soon decided that two versus one was just unfair and annoying – because I was the one against two, it would obviously have been completely different if it was the other way around – so I once again decided to call in my preferred minion slash meat shield, Banished Knight Engvall, for some support. Except in this fight, he managed to get himself killed, so I had to finish off the second boss solo. Goes to show that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.
No matter, these bosses are much more manageable when there is only one of them and it’s not like it’s the first time I have faced one of these so-called dogs that are obviously cats. Oops, I had hoped to avoid that particular topic in this video, but too late. I must admit that two of them working together is more dog-like behavior though, as cats usually work alone. Except if they’re lions, but these are clearly not lions. Whatever they are, they are annoying and standing between me and the sweet loot, so they are destined to die by the sword-spear ;-)
