Grafted Scion is in the lowest tier of bosses in Elden Ring, Field Bosses, and is found in the Chapel of Anticipation. It is in fact the very first boss encountered in the game, but at that point it most likely killed you, and you will not be able to return to it until you get to The Four Belfries in Liurnia of the Lakes. It is an optional boss in the sense that you do not need to kill it to advance the main story.

As you probably know, bosses in Elden Ring are divided into three tiers. From lowest to highest: Field Bosses, Greater Enemy Bosses and finally Demigods and Legends.

Grafted Scion is in the lowest tier, Field Bosses, and is found in the Chapel of Anticipation. It is in fact the very first boss encountered in the game, but at that point it most likely killed you, and you will not be able to return to it until you get to The Four Belfries in Liurnia of the Lakes. It is an optional boss in the sense that you do not need to kill it to advance the main story.

At this point in the game, you have probably already fought and defeated several other Grafted Scions in the game. They’re highly aggressive and annoying and this boss is not really different than the others. I had somehow missed The Four Belfries when I originally explored Liurnia of the Lakes, so I was probably somewhat overleveled when I got to exact my sweet revenge on this boss.

And now for the mandatory and boring stuff about my character. I play as a mostly Dexterity build. My melee weapon is the Guardian’s Swordspear with Keen affinity and Sacred Blade Ash of War. My ranged weapons are the Longbow and the Shortbow. I was rune level 98 when this video was recorded, which I think is too high as the boss felt quite easy ;-)
