Bright natural daylight illuminates the scene, producing saturated greens and reds while reflections of vegetation and sky are visible on the water. The composition places the sharply detailed red cardinal flowers prominently in the foreground, with the pond creating visual depth along the right side and the dense garden vegetation filling the background.
