Landscape-oriented macro photograph of a single vivid blue fringed flower filling most of the frame. The bloom has several broad, upright and outward-curving petals with deeply divided, threadlike fringes along their margins, creating a delicate, feathery appearance. The petals range from saturated cobalt and violet-blue to lighter bluish highlights, with visible fine longitudinal texture. Numerous small dark purple to nearly black elongated spots appear on the paler inner portions of the petals.
