Elden Ring: Fallingstar Beast (South Altus Plateau Crater) Boss Fight

Fallingstar Beast is in the lowest tier of bosses in Elden Ring, Field Bosses, and is found in a crater in the Southern part of Altus Plateau, just south of the capital gates. It is an optional boss in the sense that you do not need to defeat it in order to advance the main story of the game.
As you probably know, bosses in Elden Ring are divided into three tiers. From lowest to highest: Field Bosses, Greater Enemy Bosses and finally Demigods and Legends.

I was exploring the Southern part of Altus Plateau and I knew there was a boss around, but I was not prepared for it to be out in the open and in a shallow crater like this, which is why you will see the combat already in progress when the video starts. I simply did not manage to start recording until the huge beast was already upon me.
As usual when in danger or in doubt, first run in circles scream and shout, and then summon help in the form of Black Knife Tiche, who finally got a good fight to show some skills on.
I consider the Fallingstar Beast one of the more dangerous and annoying boss types, as it’s highly aggressive, charges around a lot, shoots lightning and summons up rock formations, and if you let it, it will pinch you with those huge tweezers on its head. And it will not pinch you gently, it will pinch you hard!
It’s not that it’s hugely difficult, especially not with the aid of a summoned spirit, it’s just an annoying fight with a lot going on, so it’s not so easy to get into a good rhythm. But as usual, we all know who the main character of this story is, so the beast eventually met its end at the tip of a swordspear.
And now for the usual boring details about my character: I play as a mostly Dexterity build. My melee weapon is the Guardian’s Swordspear with Keen affinity and Chilling Mist Ash of War. My ranged weapons are the Longbow and the Shortbow. I was level 106 when this video was recorded. I would say that’s reasonably appropriate for this boss, although I could probably have pulled it off at a lower level if I was better prepared. I’m always looking for the sweet spot where it’s not mind-numbing easy mode, but also not so difficult that I will be stuck on the same boss for hours ;-)
