Elden Ring: Putrid Crystalian Trio (Sellia Hideaway) Boss Fight

This Putrid Crystalian trio are in the lowest tier of bosses in Elden Ring, Field Bosses, and are the end bosses of the dungeon called Sellia Hideaway in Eastern Caelid. Like most lesser bosses in the game, these are optional in the sense that you do not need to kill them in order to advance the main story.
As you probably know, bosses in Elden Ring are divided into three tiers. From lowest to highest: Field Bosses, Greater Enemy Bosses and finally
Demigods and Legends.
This Putrid Crystalian trio are in the lowest tier, Field Bosses, and are the end bosses of the dungeon called Sellia Hideaway in Eastern Caelid. Like most lesser bosses in the game, these are optional in the sense that you do not need to kill them in order to advance the main story.
Finding this dungeon can be a bit tricky because it’s behind an illusionary wall up in the mountains close to the Church of the Plague. The dungeon is also part of Sorceress Sellen’s questline, so if you’re doing that you will have to find it sooner or later.
Having faced regular Crystalians before, I know how highly annoying they are, especially because they take very little damage until you have broken their stance once. And they’re annoying even when there is only one of them.
This time there are three and it’s the Putrid kind. You know what that means. Scarlet Rot infested headless chicken mode. Well, screw that, I once again called in Banished Knight Engvall to take some hits for me, but once again he managed to get himself killed so poor little me had to fend for myself in the end. If he got paid at all, I swear I would take a huge chunk of it for my trouble. Maybe I should start paying him just so I can take it away when he screws up.
Anyway, the bosses are in three varieties in this fight. One is armed with a Ringblade, one is armed with a Spear, and the last one is armed with a Staff. The one with the ringblade is most annoying as it doesn’t only have one ringblade, it apparently has an unlimited supply of them and therefore likes to throw them in people’s faces. And since I’m the only person there, my face has to take a lot of them.
To reduce the ringblade-to-face ratio, I decided to focus that one down first, while Engvall was off tanking the others. As usual, just killing off one makes a fight with multiple enemies a lot simpler, so afterwards it wasn’t so bad, even though Engvall didn’t manage to keep himself alive and I once again had to manage on my own.
I play as a mostly Dexterity build. My melee weapon is the Guardian’s Swordspear with Keen affinity and Sacred Blade Ash of War. My ranged weapons are Longbow and Shortbow. I was rune level 79 when this video was recorded. I’m not really sure if that is generally considered appropriate, but the difficulty of the game seems reasonable to me. I typically don’t grind levels, but I do very thoroughly explore each area before moving on and then gain whatever Runes that provide. I play entirely solo, so I’m not looking to stay within a certain level range for matchmaking. I don’t want mind-numbing easy-mode, but I’m also not looking for anything too challenging as I get enough of that at work and in life outside of gaming. I play games to have fun and relax, not to be stuck on the same boss for days ;-)
